12/1/2005 – Deck The Halls by The Glad Singers

It seems to make sense to start the annual FaLaLaLaLa ADVENTure In Carols with the song from which we get our name. The version by The Mike Sammes singers that held this position last year is my absolute favorite. But this one is great! It sure starts exhuberantly, don’t it? And I love some of the new lyrics. Pretty cheesy: "Burn, log burn!" And a bit of saucy double entendre, too.
This little gem is available on an out-of-print CD called Really Swell Christmas that you can still get at Amazon. I’m not sure if that version is stereo, but this is from the mono LP. I’d LOVE to get my hands on the stereo version if you got one.
