After listening to the download, the set of five reports we air may even be older than these. Ours include reports from pilots flying escort, radar officers showing Santa on radar and other reports. I wonder how many different series of reports were produced over the years?

I work at a set of four radio stations in Oklahoma. We STILL air it every year. I remember listening to it growing up in Illinois — probably the first year or two it was on the air) The feature is still popular. We air it instead of getting the newer updates from Norad.

We had a copy of this album at a radio station I worked at years ago. Never even played the second side because we were updating Santa’s ride as part of our Christmas Eve programming. Glad you posted this…it’s darn cool. BTW…my kids and I have been faithful Santa watchers on the NORAD website for the last 4 or 5 years. Last year they had Ringo helping them!

Is it Christmas-and-a-half already?! Thanks for sharing this one, King. I’ve been hoping someone would share it ever since you put some of the songs in the Adventures in Carols comps! I also didn’t think the songs would be as hip as they are, but they’re really great!
